The work of Critical Connections is underpinned by the shared priorities of Arts Council England, Yorkshire and the regional public health team. These are:

Yorkshire and The Humber has a strong track record in pioneering creative approaches to health and well-being. Critical Connections aims to showcase examples of leading edge practice and build a picture of activity in the region for each of the four themes. The programme also aims to provide opportunities to explore how learning from different areas of practice can inform development of others, how creative approaches can be more widely used and how more sustainable models of working can be achieved.
